Hanging and inspecting nest boxes

Hanging and inspecting nest boxes always is a hassle. Borrowing a ladder, sometimes borrowing a car etc. Sometimes I visit people who only have shaky stepladder to enter the roof from the balcony. Once that resulted in not succeeding placing swift nest boxes - the owner did not allow me to enter the roof this way.

In the magazine Vogels of the Dutch Bird Protection Association, Autumn 2004, I read about a telescopic ladder of 3,30 meter that is a small package when it is retracted. I got this Swedish made ladder, the Telesteps 60133, in December 2004. On 25 December 2004 I made a wooden construction on the rear carrier of my bicycle to carry the ladder. From now on I can reach most places very easily.
